Features of a high quality PU color paste

1. Ecological and environmental protection

Environmental protection refers to the ecological problems under the guidance of REACH regulations and textile ecological product concepts, rather than simple environmental protection indicators, that is, the entire industrial chain of PU color paste used in research and development, manufacturing, processing and application does not harm ecology and human health.

2. Fastness characteristics

(1) Light fastness

Some special varieties have particularly strict requirements for lightfastness, which requires the selection of the corresponding PU paste with good lightfastness color fastness before processing.

(2) Migration resistance

The migration problem is the sublimation phenomenon caused by the instability of the pigment crystals of the PU pigment under high temperature and hot conditions. The migration resistance of PU colorant can directly determine the fastness of other parts of the colorant, and the detection of PU colorant should first test its excellent sublimation fastness.

3. Colorant viscosity

High-quality PU pastes should have the characteristics of high environmental protection, high fastness, high concentration, high cost performance and low viscosity. Domestic printing and dyeing enterprises are accustomed to thinking that the colorant should be viscous, and for low-viscosity high-quality colorants, they mistakenly believe that the concentration of the colorant is not enough or the solids content is very low. In fact, the production enterprises of high-quality paint colorants choose dispersants with excellent dispersion properties to disperse pigments, so that the same amount of dispersants can disperse more pigments, and the entire active system is more stable, the viscosity is lower, the rheology is better, and the concentration can be higher.

4. Coloring power

The coloring force is very closely related to the particle fineness of the colorant. The finer the particles and the larger the surface area of the paste, the more layers of accumulation in the unit area, the higher the reflectivity, and the more depth and vividness of the color exhibited.

5. Stability of batches

The stability of the batch is the key to whether a brand can survive in the market for a long time, in addition to the requirements of the printing and dyeing enterprises on the environmental protection and fastness characteristics of the color paste, the stability of the batch is regarded as the premise of long-term cooperation.

6. Value for money

High-quality PU colorants are more expensive than ordinary pastes, which are mainly determined by R&D costs, publicity and promotion, raw material selection, equipment investment, quality inspection and monitoring, and packaging and transportation. However, relatively speaking, it is more cost-effective.
