Problems encountered in the use of PU color paste and solutions

1. The spray has black spots.

First consider whether the PU color paste is fully dispersed evenly, and complete the color mixing work with the help of dispersion equipment when dispersing the color. It is also crucial to choose a PU color paste that is easily dispersed, especially black. Some black pastes on the market are prone to anti-coarseness during storage, so pay attention to troubleshooting. The PU color paste launched by our company pays great attention to dispersion, and under normal circumstances, it can be stirred evenly with a stick.

2. Store floating color.

The manifestation is yellow or red in the packaging barrel for a certain period of time, especially when a small amount of lemon yellow, permanent yellow, medium yellow, and permanent red paste is added with white paint. First of all, the yellow and red color paste of organic pigments, because of the problem of the natural color of the color powder, it is difficult to avoid and eliminate the problem of storing floating color, but the problem of storing floating color can be alleviated by effective methods.

Here's how:

A. Try to use iron yellow, iron yellow inorganic pigments to toning, color system permitting, try not to mix organic pigments and inorganic pigments;

B. Choose a product with a higher viscosity as the base material for toning;

C. When adding organic yellow and red pulp in white paint, add BYK company's 104S dispersant, after full stirring and dispersion, it can reduce the problem of floating color in storage, and it is recommended to add about 2/1000 of the total weight of the paint;

D. Try to stir evenly before use, add curing agent and thin materials, stir as much as possible during use, so as to avoid color difference due to the problem of storing floating color.

3. Cover light floating color. It is expressed in the form of a solid topcoat sprayed with a clear coat and pigment floating up when the gloss is applied.

Workaround:

A. Try not to wet spray the light, most of the environmentally friendly organic pigments on the market, when wet touching the wet cover light, there will be a slight floating color. After it is completely dry, and then go to the mask, the floating color situation will be much better;

B. Choose a color paste that is not easy to float. Compared with inorganic pigments, it is not easy to cover the light floating color, and the permanent red and bright red (254 red) in the organic pigment red are not easy to float.
