Main features and precautions of in-mold coating

Features of in-mold coating:
Strong covering power, good tinting power, good adhesion, good abrasion resistance and flexibility.
Suitable for rigid foam, semi-rigid, self-skinning, high rebound, slow rebound, RIM process, etc.
in-mold coating usage:
1. The mold temperature is controlled between 25-70 °C;
2. Spray release agent evenly into the mold, and wipe it clean with cotton cloth;
3. Dilute the polyurethane in-mold paint according to the ratio of paint:solvent=1:4-6 to a viscosity of 10s (coating with No. 4 cup), and spray it evenly on the inner position of the workpiece mold;
4. Pour the composite material into the mold, close the mold and shake the mold.
Precautions for the use of in-mold coating
1. The product is a high-concentration concentrated type. Please use MEK to fully dilute it before use. Do not use diluents such as banana water, alcohol, gasoline, etc. that contain water, or alcohol or benzene.
2. When spraying with in-mold paint, a good ventilation environment should be maintained.
3. It is recommended to do a small sample test before mass production, and pay attention to the choice of release agent.

4. If adding PU color paste similar to the in-mold paint in the combination material will effectively eliminate the parting line of the product.
