Matters needing attention when coloring plastic products with PU pigments

1. When choosing PU pigments, the varieties should be as few as possible.

The fewer types of colorants that should be used in plastic color matching, the better, that is, if two colors can be used to solve the problem, there is no need to use three colors. Because choosing more varieties is not only troublesome for color matching, but also easy to bring in complementary colors to make the color dark. In addition, the more varieties selected, each variety will increase the systematic error caused by color matching samples and production due to factors such as dispersion and different tinting strength.

2. Pay attention to the shades of colors.

When plastic coloring PU pigments, there are different shades of light, such as: turquoise blue is green, original blue is red, lemon yellow is green, and original yellow is red. Therefore, the combination of turquoise blue and lemon yellow can be matched with bright green, while the color of original blue and original yellow will be dark.

3. When choosing PU pigments, choose pigments with different tinting strengths.

When configuring dark colors, organic pigments with high tinting strength should be used, and when configuring light colors, inorganic pigments with lower tinting strength should be used.

4. Pay attention to the amount of PU pigment.

Different plasticizers have different effects on the migration of pigments, and the amount of plasticizers has different effects on the migration. In addition, the amount of organic pigment has a great influence on the migration. When the pigment concentration is high, the migration is not serious, but when the pigment concentration is reduced or the processing temperature is increased, the migration becomes serious. Therefore, when coloring soft PVC, the amount of pigment used should be controlled within a certain range.

*Color matching tips:

1. Special white configuration: use ultramarine blue to carve white, or add a little purple to carve color on this basis. The whitening effect of fluorescent whitening agent is good but the cost is high.

2. Special black configuration: use emerald basket to carve black. If you add purple or red carving color on this basis, the blackness of the prepared black will be blacker.

3. Configuration of fluorescent colors: Add non-fluorescent pigments of the same color tone, so that the color of plastic products will not change greatly when the fluorescent pigment fades and the brightness decreases, and ultraviolet absorbers are added.
