Matters needing attention when using color paste

The formula of tinting base paint is complex, and the types of emulsions, wetting and dispersing agents, thickeners, and fillers used change. The following problems should be paid attention to in the use of color paste:
Before use, test the compatibility between the colorant and the system. It is required that the colorant has good compatibility with the system, no coarsening, no flocculation, hydrophilic and lipophilic balance, and good color development. If the compatibility is poor, change the color paste, or use a wetting and dispersing agent to adjust or modify the color paste to make it compatible.
The color paste needs to be stirred evenly before use (excessive storage at high and low temperature leads to uneven color paste state).
In the process of adding color paste, it should be added slowly, and flocculation should not be caused too quickly.
The amount of color paste should reach the recommended minimum amount to ensure the color retention of the pigment.
